I get asked all the time whether or not selling homes during the holiday season and the winter time is a good or bad idea. Personally, and in my experience as one of the leading Keller Williams agents in the Southeast the answer is that it is a great time to sell. There really is no bad time to put your home on the market to sell but there are factors that come into play during different times of the year.
Matt Hermes & Associates of Keller Williams Realty sells homes all year round and while most agents are slowing down for the holidays we are gaining momentum leading into 2013. My personal projections are that we will see a large increase in traditional sellers looking to take advantage of the available inventory that will be coming available while prices are still low. Most persons looking to move up into a larger home are in the best position during this time however deals are available in all price ranges.
Higher priced homes are still seeing the largest discounts so if you are looking above $500,000 to 1,500,000 now is a great time to still get the deal you are after.
We put together a list of some of the best reasons to put your home on the market during the holidays. Let us know what you think. We would like to hear your comments.
